Joel Osteen Devotional 17th October 2025 – Today’s Inspiration
Today’s Topic: Night Seasons
Scripture: “…say to her, ‘Is all well with you? Is all well with your husband? Is all well with the child?’” And she answered, “All is well.” – 2 Kings 4:26, ESV
In what feels like a night season, it’s easy to talk about the difficulties and magnify our problems. All that’s going to do is make you more discouraged and take your joy. Instead of complaining, one of the best things you can say is, “All is well.” When you say, “All is well,” you’re really saying, “God is still on the throne, and I’m not going to live upset, bitter, and guilty.” You can say it because you know the night season is temporary. You know joy is coming. It’s going to happen suddenly, unexpectedly; you won’t see it coming. You woke up, and it was still dark.
Nothing had changed, but suddenly you get the break you need. Suddenly your health turns around. Suddenly you meet the right person. The light comes bursting in. Now, don’t talk yourself into being miserable. Keep a report of victory coming out of your mouth. Every day that you stay in faith and keep a good attitude despite the darkness, you’re passing the test. Talk about God’s greatness, talk about His favor. God is saying, “All is well.”
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that You are the God of the night seasons. I believe that no matter what comes my way, it’s not a surprise to You, and You still have me in the palms of Your hands. I believe that though it may be night now, morning is coming. All is well. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: David had all kinds of opposition: armies trying to stop him, people slandering him, his family looked down on him. But in the middle of that, he said, “This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.” His circumstances said he should be discouraged, afraid, lonely, bitter. That would have been the truth. But David made a declaration of faith. He said, “Despite the opposition, I will be happy. Despite people lying about me, I will be happy. Despite my family not believing in me, I’m going to live this day happy.”
